UConn – The Burton Family Football Complex

Project Hightlights:

Storrs, CT – The practice facility is a one story structure that houses a full size indoor football field. The facility consists of an indoor 100-yard football practice field, strength and conditioning facilities, locker room facilities, meeting rooms, pool and aquatic fitness area, sports medicine facility and clinic, academic resources area, classrooms, meeting rooms, taping / broadcast facility and a press briefing room. Macchi Engineers performed the structural design, construction administration and special inspection services for the 95,000 SF two story, support area and the structural threshold review of a new 71,000 SF practice facility.
