After graduating with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine in 1993, Doug began his engineering career at Macchi Engineers as a Design and Project Engineer working under the close supervision of Anselmo John Macchi the founder of Macchi Engineers and James Brockman. Doug is currently a Principal of the firm and a Project Manager for numerous State projects as well as managing multiple projects under our on-call for UTC, Pratt & Whitney at their East Hartford and Middletown locations. His professional insight and his attention to detail complements each and every project he is involved with.

Mr. Camp’s engineering experience includes all phases of planning, design and construction inspection for a diversified range of building projects. He has extensive experience performing a wide range of engineering support services for on-call contracts managing multiple projects simultaneously including the structural analysis and design of numerous concrete and steel structures throughout Connecticut. Additionally, he has experience in the design of miscellaneous foundations, tanks and pits, and completing structural investigations with the use of various lifts. Similarly, Mr. Camp is certified by ACI as a Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I and as a Aerial and Scissor Lift Operator, and certified in OSHA Confined Space Entry.

Mr. Camp’s project experience includes full-time, on-site construction administration and construction inspection services for several large construction projects within the State. He was the Senior Project Engineer for the construction of the $116 Million New Downtown Arts and Education Cluster Project in Waterbury. He was also the Senior Project Engineer for the construction of the Hartford Riverfront Pedestrian Bridge, and the six-story structure for Pfizer’s GDF Facility in New London, with an adjacent 1,800-car parking garage.
