Project Hightlights:

Hartford, CT – Macchi Engineers provided the structural and civil engineering design services for the construction of a new 2-story, two volume 13,000 SF building at the location of the existing Lyric Theater Building. The new library consists of a 150-seat community room, café, meeting rooms, separate adult, teen and children’s areas, learning lab, exhibit space and a protected courtyard. The project was delivered with Building Information Modeling “BIM” using Revit Software. The civil/site design included site layout, grading plans, utilities, and design and layout of parking. Work included site preparation and demolition plan, sedimentation and erosion control. Additional service included video pipe inspection services of a 12” storm line. Also provided construction administration, construction inspection and special inspection services.
