Project Hightlights:

Groton, CT – Macchi Engineers provided the structural and civil design for the construction of a new 243,000 sq. ft. multi-story facility. All work complies with the State of Connecticut regulations for High Performance Buildings as well as the DCS Consultant Procedure Manual. The project includes a new 5,000 sq. ft. bus storage facility, field house, and trade wing storage building. The new facility consists of classrooms, trade instructional labs and shops, science and computer labs, physical education area, lockers, administrative facilities, lecture hall, library/media center, culinary arts, cafeteria and kitchen. The project site consists of 67 acres and the civil/site development includes new roadways, walkways, athletic fields, track, site lighting, site utilities, signage, retaining walls, extensive regrading and redevelopment of the site.
